AIS contract in Georgia

In June 2019, after the award of a public tender issued on the Georgian State Procurement Agency portal, ELMAN signed a Contract with the State Hydrographic Service of Georgia for the supply and installation of an Automatic Identification System (AIS).

The main goal of the AIS network is to enhance the safety of navigation in Georgian waters.

The AIS network will consist of two AIS Physical Shore Stations (PSS), one DGPS reference station, one AIS server and two operator workstations.

The AIS server, operator workstations, DGPS reference station and one PSS will be installed in the building of the Georgian State Hydrographic Service in Poti. The second PSS will be installed in the Batumi lighthouse.

ELMAN will also establish a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to connect the AIS PSS in Batumi to the AIS server in Poti.
