Story

Elman was born

From the passion for electronics of a daring engineer, in a laboratory in Pomezia (Rome), Elman Srl was born.

First systems

ELMAN initially manufactures and installs radio frequency anti-intrusion systems.

It also begins to install radiant systems and small telecommunication towers for the Italian Coast Guard.

First transceiver

Following the award of a contract with the Italian Navy, ELMAN designs and manufactures the first radio.

RTV-1082

With the design and production of the RTV-1082 radio device, ELMAN launches a new generation of synthesizer-based transceivers.

New Headquarters

ELMAN moves to the new 2000 sqm plant in S.Palomba (Rome), where it is still based.

Segugio System

Following a project with the Ministry of the Interior (Drug Enforcement Administration) ELMAN creates a system with micro-devices for locating and listening to communications in ETACS technology.

New line of equipment

ELMAN launches a new line of radio equipment, based on microprocessor and DSP technology.

Naval centralization

Following the award of a tender with the Navy, ELMAN realizes a centralization system for on-board communications in VoIP technology for the Italian Navy's Naval Units.

AIS Network

ELMAN wins the tender for the realization of the Italian national AIS network, specializing in the design of base stations and mobile AIS transponders.

MAREΣ

ELMAN is commissioned to create MAREΣ, the AIS data collection and distribution system of the Mediterranean countries.

ELMAN starts its own Software Research and Development department.

IALA industrial member

ELMAN enters the IALA as an industrial member, actively participating in the working groups.

VoIP Platform

ELMAN launches its own VoIP platform for managing radio and telephone communications: the VIS system.

Pelagus

The PELAGUS web solution for maritime traffic monitoring is born.

VTMIS

Following the award of the European tender, ELMAN realizes the national VTMIS system for the control of the coasts of Montenegro.

GMDSS

ELMAN develops and supplies the first GMDSS system in the international arena.

TUNA

ELMAN designs a newly developed all-in-one device for multimodal vessel tracking. TUNA is born.

3D Console

ELMAN launches the new 3D operator console for VTS and coastal control.

AI Modules

In more than 50 countries

With its hardware and software systems, ELMAN is present in more than 50 countries around the world.

ELMAN still renews its commitment today, investing in the design of high-tech solutions.
