Koper VTMIS in Slovenia

Elman has signed the contract with the Slovenian Maritime Administration for the new Koper Vessel Traffic Monitoring Information System.
 

The new VTMIS will be part of the national center for traffic control and management of emergency situations at sea of ​​the Republic of Slovenia.
 

It will consist of a main center in the new SMA headquarters in Koper, a secondary center in Portorož and some remote sites where the latest generation VTS sensors will be installed (AIS, VHF/GMDSS radio, solid state radar, weather, DGNSS stations, long-range optoelectronic systems).
 

The system, once completed, will allow in addition to the control of vessel traffic (VTMIS) with access to national (NSW) and European (EMSA) databases and the management of emergency situations (GMDSS with SAR management) also prevention and mitigation of marine pollution events through Oil Spill Detection (OSD) techniques.
 

Furthermore, the collaboration and exchange of information with other national (Meteorological Agency, Geodetic Institute, etc.) and international (EMSA, MARES, ADRIREP, LRIT, etc.) administrations will be strongly integrated.
 

System delivery is scheduled for October 2020.
